Harinath and
Rosalinda Thummalapalli
Hi, I am Rosalinda. Hari and
I have been happily married since September 29. 2001. Hari recently
taught me some aspects of web design to help him with his second
business - Small Biz Niche.
I am now using these new skills to help Hari develop and maintain
World Wide Wards.
I graduated from Southwest
Texas State University with a degree in Accounting. Last year I
quit my job as an accountant at the University of Texas at Austin
to help Hari with his startup business and to prepare for the CPA
exam.
The
results are in -- I passed the CPA exam!
I received my results on the
November 2003 Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination.
This was my first time to take the CPA exam and I passed with flying
colors. Since the pass rate for a first time CPA exam candidate
is only about 10 to 15%, I am especially proud and relieved to have
passed the exam on my first attempt.
The CPA exam, which was a
two day event, covered dozens of topics, including law, auditing,
taxation, financial accounting and reporting, governmental accounting,
and not-for-profit accounting. The November 2003 exam was the last
time the CPA exam was offered in a paper and pencil format. In the
future, the CPA exam will be computerized.
Hari grew up in India until
he was 21 and moved to America where he met Tom and Joan as part
of an International Friendship Family program. Hari went to graduate
school at Georgia Tech and graduated with a Master of Science from
the School of Aerospace Engineering. After graduating from Georgia
Tech, he moved back to Michigan to work at Ford Motor Company and
to live with the Wards. In addition to Ford, Hari also worked at
United Technologies Automotive before moving into the computer field.
He has worked at various software companies before starting his
own company, Thummas Corporation. On January 10, 2004 it will be
3 years since he started the business.
These days, Hari is very busy
working on the business 7 days a week to make it successful. We
recently landed some high profile clients so as of now the future
looks promising.
I have heard a lot of good
things about most of you from Hari. I hope to meet you all some
day. In the meantime, keep sending more bios and pictures for World
